We need YOUR help
With a current annual budget of just $125,000, and only 1.5 staff members, the Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center is an efficient, progressive organization.

In October 2011, we were presented with an amazing opportunity to purchase our own property (pictured above), which is conveniently located within the community we already serve.  This fully handicap accessible property will allow us to better fulfill our mission for many years to come! In a home of our own, we will be able to dramatically increase the number of lives saved, as well as expand our community outreach services.

Our previous location only allowed us to serve the needs of 30 animals at any given time.  A property more conducive to our services will allow us to serve an additional 15 animals at all times.  (Which means 300-400 more animals annually!)

With increased functional space available to us, we anticipate being able to facilitate 15 additional Kaleidoscopes visits annually, register 12 additional PAWS participants, and assist 500 additional youth & adults via on-site educational opportunities. (Programs & Services)

Capital Campaign Goals and Plans
Recognizing this incredible opportunity for growth, sustainability, added efficiencies and increased financial stability, the Center is seeking $350,000 in donations (see below).  This goal satisfies a budget for property acquisition, new equipment purchase, and renovation.

The Center kicked off the capital campaign on October 24th and hopes to satisfy all financial obligations by the end of 2012. (View Daniel's 26 Toes for updated fundraising statistics.)

The new property is strategically located on just over ½ acre of land nestled between residential and commercial properties on a main thorough-fare.

After renovation, the Center will include:

o Caged & cageless cat galleries
o A community room
o Laundry & food prep stations
o Individual and group workstations
o A small retail store
o Cat isolation/intake ward
o Clinic
o Adequate storage space

The property also has a spacious garage for additional storage and a large parking lot to serve normal business traffic as well as a spacious field with trees which will be partially transformed into a memorial & meditation garden.
