The Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center is a no-kill organization with a primary mission of saving animals from facilities where they might be euthanized.

In September, we learned that our lease terms would not be renewed at the end of the year. Consequently, we are urgently trying to raise funds to renovate a permanent property.

On Thursday, October 27th, we accepted Daniel (pictured above) as a transfer from a local high-kill animal control facility.  He is a playful, handsome guy...with 26 toes! (Cats typically only have 18 toes.)

Daniel is challenging animal lovers throughout the world to assist by donating at least $1 for each of his toes.

If everyone donates at least $26, we will reach our goal!

November 8th: We have satisfied our Phase One fundraising goal of $50,000! Phase One will cover the down payment and closing cost of the new property!

December 13th: We have AMAZINGLY satisfied our Phase Two fundraising goal of $70,000! Phase Two will cover initial renovation as well as new equipment and supply purchase!

Phase Three is going on now until completion and will focus on paying off the mortgage as quickly as possible so that all of our funds and efforts can be directed exclusively towards animal care and program expenses.

December 14th: Please continue to be inspired by and donate on behalf of Daniel and all of the animals in our care! Phase Three is now open with a goal of $230,000. (Yes, we know that is huge! But there are many benefits of owning our own property.)

Phase Three Progress/December 31st: $39,453.99
Phase Three Progress/January 31st: $40,473.29

Please spread the word to anyone who might be able to assist. Donations are tax-deductible and can be made on-line; by phone 414.421.8881; or by mail PO BOX 341545 ~ Milwaukee, WI 53234
